What Brands Can Learn: Keep it simple! The audience doesn’t require complicated messaging. If it’s short and simple, potential clients and partners can follow easily and make quick decisions.
2. Zack King
Zack King rose to fame though his “magic” videos. As a sleight of hand aficionado, Zack started posting videos on YouTube in 2008. By 2013 he had moved to Vines and moved to TikTok by 2016. He has an array of magic trick he performs and audiences are wowed by his captivating moves. He has appeared on televisions shows, had live events, done product placement.
What Brands Can Learn: Be engaging. Most people live ordinary lives and moments of awe and wonder capture their attention. Brands cannot afford to be boring, especially with digital media where multiple things are grabbing their eyeballs at the same time.
3. Nusr Et
Known better across the world as Salt Bae, Nusr Et is a Turkish chef whose unique method of seasoning steak made him a worldwide phenomenon. He wasn’t afraid to be different and his difference got him famous. The original Salt Bae video has over 16 million views and he has used this fame to drive thousands of diners to his chain of luxury steakhouses.
What Brands Can Learn: Uniqueness is key. With everyone doing the same thing and sharing the same kind of content, how can your brand bring a distinctive twist to the message being shared? Find that specific type of unique is essential for brands to remain fresh in the minds of familiar users and irresistible by new fans.
4. Jake Paul
The 25 year old YouTuber has had more iterations than most and has reinvented himself multiple times since he started out less than ten years ago. He was a prankster who then got invited to join a Disney show, and then dabbled into music, and now he’s a amateur boxer who hasn’t lost yet. Although his career, the constant thing has been controversy. He’s been dogged by controversy all through and he embraces it, using it divert attention to himself.
What Brands Can Learn: Controversy isn’t all bad, once you understand what to do with it. Days ago, sports brand Adidas launched its range of sports bras by using an image of various types of bare breasts. While it is controversial to use naked body parts for advertising, Adidas countered by using them as a campaign to celebrate body types.
