  • Six Ways To Get Engagement For Your Content                                                              Source : Canva.com

  • So you've done a lot of brainstorming and have created killer content. There are lot of likes and possibly shares but not enough end goal when the content was created to spur them into action. Your pieces of content will serve no purpose if it doesn't elicit the right emotion in your audiences to influence their decision making. Most consumers are inducted with several messages every second of the day and only the most compelling messaging gets their attention. How do you ensure that your content strategy and digital marketing is not only in their faces but also moving them to react? Here are six sure ways to get the right engagement.

  • State the value they stand to gain in the subject line                                        Chances are that you're sending out digital marketing material by email. If so, you have only a split second before the recipient decides either to open the mail or delete it straight away. If you're able to grab their attention by stating the value they stand to get, you've increased the likelihood of getting the business you're reaching them for. For example, an email with the bold subject "You're bored and you need a vacation" is more likely to get opened than one that says "Secure your theme park tickets today."

  • Explore video storytelling                                                                                              If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth ten thousand. There's a reason why video is the most compelling medium in history. When people see moving images, they spend more time watching and listening to it that they would have if they were only seeing still photos. Video storytelling is sure to capture attention and then helps with retention. Read more on how to do this here
Social Media Engagement, The good , The Bad and The Ugly

  •  Use social media                                                                                                      That sounds like the obvious but you'll be shocked at how many brands treat social media as an external phenomenon instead of a constant feature of today's consumers. Therefore, social media must serve as a primary medium of distribution as well as collecting feedback- all those comments are direct feedback!
  • Think mobile!                                                                                                      Nobody uses yellow pages or  TV guides anymore. Even television programming is created specifically for digital nomads. So when you're crafting your digital marketing content, it's better to optimize them for mobile devices. Your audience is most likely watching on their smartphones.

  •  Post at perfect times                                                                                                      If you want your content to be engaged with, then it's important to study and know the best time to reach your audience. If you're selling insurance, you're probably not going to get quality engagement if you're posting your message at Christmas; just like it's not helpful to target morning consumers for alcohol brands. Knowing your time is key. Timing is everything.

  • Say thank you                                                                                                        Human beings want to be seen and acknowledged, rather than be treated like faceless bots. As the audience is king, digital marketing must be a loyal and humane subject. Algorithms might have lot to do with how content is created and distributed; but the call to action from the audience is human. They want to be seen and thanking them for being a part of your business signals to them that they matter.
